Alinsunod ito sa kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sa pamamagitan ng Executive Order 74 na total ban ng POGO.

Ayon kay Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Chief Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz, pinaghahandaan na nila ito noong mga nagdaan buwan, katuwang ang iba’t ibang law enforcement agencies, kung saan minomonitor na ang ilan pang POGO na patuloy ang ilegal na operasyon.
