Operasyon ng AFP laban sa CPP-NPA, tuloy ngayong Pasko

Hindi ititigil ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang kanilang military operation laban sa Communist Party of the Philippines–New People’s Army (CPP-NPA), ngayong Pasko.

Ayon kay AFP Spokesperson Colonel Francel Margareth Padilla, naniniwala ang AFP na ang CPP-NPA ay kontra sa kaunlaran at kapakanan ng mamamayan, kaya’t patuloy ang kanilang kampanya laban dito.

Bagamat hindi direktang masagot ni Padilla kung magkakaroon ng “ceasefire,” sinabi niya na magsasagawa pa ng command conference ang AFP upang talakayin ang mga usaping may kaugnayan sa seguridad.

Dagdag pa ni Padilla, may nakikita silang “vacuum” sa pamunuan ng CPP-NPA na nagdudulot ng patuloy na paghina ng kanilang pwersa, kaya hindi na ito nakakakilos para maglunsad ng malalaking pag-atake.
