Operasyon ng pinakamalaking POGO sa Island Cove, tinuldukan ng DILG, PNP at PAGCOR

Ikinandado na ng Technical Working Group on Anti-Illegal Offshore Gaming Operations ang pinakamalaking POGO sa bansa na nasa Island Cove.

Pinangunahan nina Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Rommel Marbil, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairperson Alejandro T,engco at Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Executive Director Gilbert Cruz ang ceremonial na pagpa-padlock sa POGO hub na nasa Kawit, Cavite.

Sabi ni Remulla, nasa 15,000 ang mga empleyadong Pinoy ng Island Cove at 15,000 rin ang Chinese nationals.

Ayon naman sa General Manager ng Island Cove na si Ron Lim, 12,000 Pinoy at humigit kumulang 4,000 dayuhan ang nawalan ng trabaho sa pagsasara nitong POGO Hub noong Nobyembre.

Nasa 57 aniya ang kabuuang mga istraktura sa loob ng Island Cove, 32 sa mga ito ang gusaling may dormitoryo na ininspeksyon ng TWG.
