Pagratipika ng Senado sa Reciprocal Access Agreement sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Japan, magpapalakas sa defense cooperation ng 2 bansa

Ikinatuwa ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang ginawang pagratipika ng Senado sa nilagdaang Reciprocal Access Agreement sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Japan.

Ayon kay AFP Spokesperson, Col. Francel Margareth Padilla, mapalalakas pa nito ang ugnayan at kooperasyong pangdepensa ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng pinalawak na pagsasanay sa puwersa ng Japan.

Makatutulong din ito sa pagpapalakas ng territorial defense lalo na sa maritime domain awareness sa pamamagitan ng techonolgy transfers at intelligence sharing.

Binigyang-diin pa ni Padilla na makatutulong ito sa pagtutulungan ng dalawang bansa na harapin ang mga hamong pangseguridad partikular na sa West Philippine Sea at pagtibayin ang pagtatanggol nito sa soberanya ng bansa. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
