Ipinagmalaki ng Department of Finance (DOF) ang milestone accomplishment ng administrasyong Marcos Jr. ngayong taon.

Ayon kay Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, muling pinatunayan ng Pilipinas ang kakayahan nito bilang fastest-growing economy sa rehiyong Asya.

Ayon kay Recto, ang paglago ng gross domestic product (GDP) ng bansa sa 5.8% para sa tatlong quarter ng taon ay mataas pa rin kumpara sa ilang malalaking bansa sa Asya gaya ng Malaysia (5.2%), Indonesia (5.0%), China (4.8%), at Singapore (3.6%).

Base sa datos ng DOF, halos dumoble ang laki ng bansa pagdating sa nomidal GDP at inaasahang dodoble pa sa taong 2032.

Diin ni Recto, maituturing na tagumpay ng bansa ang taong ito dahil sa kabila ng mga hamon sa loob at labas ng bansa, nananatiling matatag ang Pilipinas upang tiyaking nararamdaman ng bawat isang Pilipino ang lahat ng economic gains. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz-Reyes
