Kaisa si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa pakikidalamhati sa pagpanaw ni dating US President Jimmy Carter, na sumakabilang buhay sa edad na 100.
Sa mensaheng ipinaabot ng Pangulo, sinabi nito na ang istilo ng pamumuno ni Carter ay naka-angkla sa paniniwala, pagiging makatao, at pagsusulong ng interes ng mga mas nangangailangan.

Isa aniyang tagapag-lingkod si Carter, na isinulong ang kapayapaan sa mga lugar na nangangailangan nito.
Isinulong rin nito ang kaunlaran sa mga lugar na sinira ng paghahangad.

Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, si Carter ay nagsisilbing modelo para sa paggawa ng mabuti na pinatatakbo hindi ng politika o personal na interes, bagkus ay ng pagmamahal sa kapwa nito mamamayan.
