DA, inamin na may mga palengke pang nagbebenta ng mas mataas sa maximum SRP na imported rice

Nakitaan pa rin ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ng mataas na presyo ng imported na bigas ang ilang palengke sa Metro Manila.

Ito ay sa kabila nang pagpapatupad ng maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) na P58 kada kilo ng imported na bigas simula ngayong araw.

Tinukoy ni DA Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa ang Guadalupe Commercial Complex, na may nagbebenta pa rin ng P59 kada kilo ng bigas at Pasay Public Market na may nagtitinda ng hanggang P60 kada kilo.

Gayunman, marami nang rice retailer ang sumusunod sa maximum suggested retail price.

Tiniyak naman ni De Mesa, na magsusumite ng report ang DA sa Department of Trade and Industry at sa local government units para sa mga hindi sumusunod sa SRP.
