Pagdedeklara sa buwan ng Setyembre bilang National Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month, pasado na sa Kamara

Bumotong pabor ang 222 mambabatas sa pagpapatibay ng House Bill 11198 o panukala na i-deklara ang buwan ng Setyembre ng bawat taon bilang “National Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month.”

Sa ilalim nito, ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa tulong ng National Youth Council at Council for the Welfare of Children ay maghahanda ng taunang programa at mga aktibidad kaugnay sa paggunita ng National Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month.

Habang ng Philippine Information Agency naman ang naatasan na magpakalat ng mpormasyon ukol sa batas.

Maging ang mga lokal na pamahalan, mga pribadong organisasyon, civil society groups, NGOs, at kahalintulad ay hinihimok na makibahagi sa mga aktibidad na may kinalaman sa National Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month.

Inaasahan na sa pamamagitan nito ay mas mapapaigting ang hakbang laban sa pambu-bully, at maipapabatid ang kahalagahan na maprotektahan ang mga bata laban sa ano mang uri ng pag-abuso, karahasan at iba pa na nakakaapekto sa kanilang development. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
