Renewal ng Bilateral Swap Arrangement sa pagitan ng Japan at Pilipinas, nilagdaan

Muling pinagtibay ng Japan at Pilipinas ang kanilang Bilateral Swap Arrangement (BSA) ngayong taong 2025.

Nilagdaan ng Bank of Japan at ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ang ika-apat na Amendment and Restatement Agreement ng ikatlong BSA.

Ang BSA ay isang two-way na kasunduan kung saan maaaring magpalitan ng lokal na pera ang dalawang panig kapalit ng US dollar.

Pinahihintulutan din nito ang Pilipinas na magpalit ng Philippine peso sa Japanese yen.

Kapwa naniniwala ang Japan at Pilipinas, na ang BSA ay naglalayong palakasin at suportahan ang iba pang mga financial safety net at magpapalalim sa ugnayang pinansyal ng dalawang bansa, at makatutulong sa katatagan ng regional at pandaigdigang pananalapi. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz Reyes
