Suspension order vs Urdaneta City Mayor at Vice Mayor, inilabas ng DILG

Iniutos na ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), sa pamamagitan ni Undersecretary for External Legal and Legislative Affairs Atty. Romeo Benitez kay DILG Region 1 Director Jonathan Leusen, na ipatupad ang naipalabas na isang taong suspension order laban kina Urdaneta City Mayor Julio “Rammy” Parayno at Vice Mayor Jimmy Parayno.

Partikular ito sa inilabas na suspension order noong Enero 3, 2025, ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin laban sa dalawang opisyal, dahil sa kasong grave misconduct at grave abuse of authority.

Kaugnay nito, inatasan na rin ni Director Leusen sina Atty. Leogivildo Bungubung at Atty. Michael John Borja, na tiyaking maipatupad ang direktiba ng Malacañang laban sa dalawang Parayno.

Ayon naman kay Mayor Rammy Parayno, hindi pa niya natatanggap ang utos dahil siya ay naka-bakasyon mula Enero 7 hanggang Enero 21 ngayong taon.

Ngunit, paglilinaw ni Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III sa DILG Ilocos, iligal ang ginawang bakasyon nito dahil hindi naman pinayagan ang kanyang leave request. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
