18,000 sundalo, aalalay para sa pagtitiyak ng seguridad sa midterm elections 2025

Tiniyak ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang kanilang kahandaan para sa pagpapanatili ng kaayusan at kapayapaan sa darating ng midterm elections 2025.

Ayon kay AFP Spokesperson, Colonel Francel Margareth Padilla, aabot sa 18,000 mga sundalo ang kanilang ipakakalat para sa halalan at posible itong madagdagan pa depende sa sitwasyon.

Inihalimbawa ni Padilla ang pagkakataon kung saan nagkakaroon ng agarang pagtugon ang AFP gaya na lamang ng engkwentro, pananambang at iba pa.

Tutulong din ang AFP sa mga ginagawa ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pagtataguyod ng seguridad sa halalan.

Una nang sinabi ni AFP Chief of Staff Gen Romeo Brawner Jr., na bahagi ng kanilang tungkulin bilang deputized force ng Commission on Elections na suportahan ang seguridad ng eleksyon, lalo na sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
