9 million na bata, patuloy na sinusuportahan ng DSWD

Halos siyam na milyong kabataan na may edad 0 hanggang 18 taong gulang ang patuloy na sinusuportahan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Sa ilalim ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), nakakatanggap ang mga ito ng tulong pinansyal para sa kanilang edukasyon at mabigyan ng maayos na kalusugan.

Ayon kay DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, hanggang Disyembre 2024, mahigit isang milyong monitored child ang natulungan ng programa hanggang makatapos sa pag-aaral.

Bukod dito, halos 40,000 na dating 4Ps beneficiaries ang nakapasa sa iba’t ibang board examinations at 65 sa mga ito ang nag-top.

Sabi pa ni Asec. Dumlao, mahigit sa 4 million ang active households ng 4Ps noong 2024 at pinakamarami ay mula sa Bicol Region.

May iba pang 4PS beneficiaries ang tumatanggap ng cash grants, kabilang ang senior citizens, solo parents, indigenous peoples at PWDs. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
