IRR ng Anti-Bullying Law, nirerepaso ng DepEd kasunod ng tumataas na kaso ng bullying sa mga paaralan

Inanunsyo ng Department of Education (DepEd) na kanila nang nirerepaso ang Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) ng Anti-Bullying Law.

Ito’y ayon kay Education Secretary Sonny Angara, kasunod ng tumataas na bilang ng mga naitatalang kaso ng bullying sa mga paaralan.

Sinabi ni Angara na nais nilang tiyaking epektibong naipatutupad ang batas sa mga paaralan na dapat sana’y isang safe space sa mga mag-aaral.

Kanila aniyang tinitingnan sa ngayon kung paano makapagbabalangkas ng mga mas mahigpit na polisiya na naaayon sa batas.

Pinag-aaralan na rin ng DepEd, ani Angara, ang pagsasaprayoridad sa pagkuha ng guidance counselor o mga kahalintulad na posisyon upang tiyakin na may aagapay sa mga estudyante.

Magugunitang sa inilabas na ulat ng Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM II), 65 porsyento ng mga nasa Grade 5 sa bansa ang nakararanas ng bullying. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
