SC, binigyan ng 10 araw ang COMELEC para sumagot sa petisyon na nag-oobliga na ilabas ang dokumento sa bagong joint venture agreement ng Miru System Company

Pinasasagot ng Korte Suprema ang Commission on Elections (COMELEC) sa petisyong inihain ng ilang media organization kaugnay sa bagong joint venture agreement na pinasok ng Miru System Company Limited para sa 2025 Midterm Elections. 

Sa En Banc session ng Korte Suprema, inatasan nito ang COMELEC na sumagot sa loob ng 10 araw. 

Ang naghain ng petisyon ay kinabibilangan ng Right to Know, Right Now Coalition, Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility,  Philippine Press Institute, at iba pang independent journalists at hanay ng academics.

Sinabi ng grupo na dapat umanong ilabas ng COMELEC ang mga dokumento kung sino ang bagong kompanya na ka-joint venture ng Miru System Company Limited matapos umatras ang Filipino owned company partner nito na St. Timothy. 

Iginiit ng grupo ang batas na nag-oobliga na dapat ay 60% na pag-aari ng isang kompanya ay Filipino habang 40% lamang ang dayuhan. 

Ang Miru System Company Limited ay pag-aari ng isang Korean firm na nanalo sa bidding para sa 2025 Midterm Elections.  | ulat ni Mike Rogas
