2 mega food hubs, itatayo ng DA

Sa layong mapalawak ang access para sa suplay ng pagkain sa bansa, magtatayo ang Department of Agriculture (DA) ng dalawang mega food hubs.

Kasama ito sa mga bagong proyekto ng DA na natalakay ni Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu-Laurel Jr. kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa pulong sa Malacañan.

Ayon kay DA Spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa, itatayo ang mega food hub sa Clark sa Pampanga at sa Quezon Province.

Ang mga hub na ito ay magsisilbing distribution center at daan para direktang madala at maibenta ng mga magsasaka at kooperatiba ang kanilang mga produkto.

Paliwanag pa ni Asec. De Mesa, sa tulong ng malalaking trade hubs na ito, maiiwasan na ang pananamantala sa presyuhan ng mga produktong agrikultural.

Nasa tinatayang ₱3.75-billion ang pondong ilalaan ng DA para sa bawat proyekto. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
