30 Pinoy na biktima ng human trafficking mula Myanmar, tumanggap ng tulong sa pamahalaan

Balik Pilipinas na ang nasa 30 Pilipino na biktima ng human trafficking buhat sa Myanmar.

Batay sa ulat ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), sila ay dumating sa bansa sakay ng PAL flight PR0733, kahapon.

Sila ay sinalubong ni DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac at Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migration Eduardo De Vega.

Gayundin ng mga opisyal mula sa Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Myanmar, Office of the Police Attaché, at Migrant Workers Office sa Bangkok.

Ayon sa DMW, makatatanggap ng P50,000 mula sa AKSYON fund ng Kagawaran at karagdagang P10,000 mula naman sa Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Nakatanggap din sila ng legal assistance mula sa Department of Justice (DOJ), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at NAIA Task Force Against Trafficking (NAIA-TFAT).

Sasailalim din sila sa reintegration at upskilling mula naman sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Sa kabuuan, aabot na sa 176 na karagdagang biktima pa ang nakatakda ring umuwi ngayong umaga sakay ng chartered flight. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
