Pinag-aaralan na ng Commission on Election kung dapat ng isailalim sa COMELEC control ang buong lalawigan ng Maguindanao at hindi lamang ang Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

Ayon kay COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia ito ay base na rin sa rekomendasyon na kanilang natatanggap.

Gayunman, ito ay kanila pang pag-aaral dahil ayaw nilang makaapekto sa pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay ng mga residente.
