Tiniyak ni Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara na kanilang isinasaayos ang Contingency Plan at Emergency Response Preparedness sa mga bayan sa Negros Occidental na malapit sa Bulkang Kanlaon.

Ayon sa kalihim, ito ay bilang paghahanda na rin sakaling lumala pa ang sitwasyon sa bulkan sa hinaharap.

Ginawa ni Angara ang pahayag kasunod ng kaniyang pagbisita sa La Granja Elementary School at Yubo Elementary School sa La Carlota City.

Batay sa datos ng DepEd buhat nitong March 14, aabot na sa mahigit 11,000 mag-aaral at mahigit 440 school personnel mula sa 11 paaralan ang apektado ng pag-aalburoto ng Bulkang Kanlaon. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
