Maayos at walang nakikitang aberya ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) gayundin ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sa unang araw ng tigil-pasada ng grupong MANIBELA.

Ito’y ayon kay Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, kasunod ng isinagawa nilang monitoring sa sitwasyon buhat sa Command Center ng MMDA sa Pasig City ngayong araw.

Ayon kay Dizon, maaga pa lamang ay kanila nang binabantayan ang tigil-pasada buhat sa iba’t ibang ruta na apektado nito.

Samantala, sinabi naman ni MMDA Chairman, Atty. Don Artes na wala silang nakikitang pangangailangan para suspendehin ang number coding scheme.

Giit niya, lalong lalala ang sitwasyon ng trapiko kung aalisin nila ang number coding lalo’t marami pa rin namang transport group ang piniling pumasada.

Dagdag pa niya, ipakakalat lamang ang libreng sakay sa mga lugar na higit na kailangan upang hindi makaapekto sa kita ng mga tsuper na namamasada ngayong araw. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
