“It reflects the strength of humanitarian values that lie at the heart of Islam, and the magnanimity of a leadership that extends forgiveness and hope in a time of spiritual renewal. We Filipinos will not forget this gesture of goodwill,” ani Romualdez.

“It brings comfort and healing not only to those who have been granted clemency, but to their families and loved ones back home who now look forward to reunion and redemption. It is a gesture that restores dignity and reaffirms our shared belief in second chances,” sabi pa niya.

“This act also strengthens the abiding friendship between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates—one built over decades of mutual respect, cooperation, and solidarity. The UAE has long been a gracious host to over half a million Filipinos who contribute meaningfully to your society and economy. Your continued support for their welfare, rights, and dignity speaks volumes of the values that bind our two nations,” saad pa niya. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
