Nagsagawa ng groundbreaking ceremony para sa Green Green Green Project ang Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Caraga kasama ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) at ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Surigao City.

Ang groundbreaking ng Nature and Family Park sa Sitio Brazil, Brgy. Mat-i, Surigao City kamakailan ay isang makasaysayang milestone kung saan ang inisyatiba na ito na bahagi ng Green Green Green (GGG) Project ay binibigyang-diin ang pangako ng rehiyon sa pagpapalawak ng green spaces at pagtataguyod ng sustainable urban development.

Sa pangunguna ng DBM, ang GGG Project ay naglalayon na bumuo ng public open spaces upang mapabuti ang ‘livability’ ng lungsod. Sa simula, ang programa ay sumusuporta lamang sa 145 lungsod at lumawak upang makinabang ang 80 local government units sa buong bansa.

Ang naturang parke ay pinondohan ng ₱10,279,250 mula sa 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA) at sinusuportahan ng DHSUD.

Ito ay ipinatupad sa koordinasyon ng LGU Surigao upang matiyak ang kahusayan at pagpapanatili nito. Tinitiyak din ng DHSUD ang mataas na disenyo at mga pamantayan sa kapaligiran na nagbibigay ng teknikal na tulong para sa pangmatagalang tagumpay ng proyekto. | ulat ni Dyannara Sumapad | RP Butuan
