MSRP sa imported rice, magiging P45 kada kilo na sa susunod na linggo

Inanunsiyo ni Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. na muling tatapyasan ang  maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) ng imported na bigas.

Ayon sa Department of Agriculture (DA), simula sa Lunes, March 31, 2025 ay magiging P45 per kilo ng 5 percent broken imported rice mula sa P49 kada kilong presyuhan noong Marso 1.

Ito ay dahil sa patuloy na pagbaba ng pandaigdigang presyo nito.

Bago ipinatupad ang MSRP, ang imported na bigas ay  ibinibenta sa P64 per kilo sa kabila nang paglambot ng pandaigdigang presyo sa  bigas, pagbawas sa taripa at paglakas ng piso.

Batay sa datos ng Food Terminal Inc. na ang landed cost ng imported na bigas ngayong March 2025 para sa DT8 variety ay P32 hanggang P34  per kilo. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
