Pagka-recover ng P65-M sa ghost students anomaly, itinuturing na pagkakaligtas ng DepEd mula basura

Good news para sa Malacañang ang pagkaka-recover ng pamahalaan ng P65 milyong mula sa may 38 mga paaralan na kalahok sa nadiskubreng maanomalyang Senior Highschool Voucher Program.

Sa Malacañang briefing, sinabi ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro, na ang ghost students anomaly ay nangyari sa mga taong ang kalihim ng Department of Education (DepEd) ay si Vice President Sara Duterte.

Binigyang diin ni Atty. Castro, na kung hindi pa naging kalihim ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon si Secretary Sonny Angara ay baka hindi pa ito nasiyasat at nabawi ang P65 million.

Dahil sa nailantad na iregularidad, sinabi ni Castro na hindi na mapupunta sa basurahan ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon.

Sa 54 na mga private school na na-flagged down ay 38 pa lamang ang nagbigay ng kanilang refund sa gobyerno, habang may 14 pang dapat na magsauli ng pera sa pamahalaan. | ulat ni Alvin Baltazar
