Pagtataguyod sa Konstitusyon, patuloy na pangako ng AFP sa sambayanang Pilipino

Nangako ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa sambayanang Pilipino na patuloy nilang itataguyod ang Saligang Batas at mananatiling non-partisan sa gitna ng tumitinding ingay pulitika.

Ito ay bilang tugon na rin ng AFP sa mga kumukuwestiyon sa kanilang katapatan kasunod ng mga pinakahuling pangyayari sa bansa.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng AFP na hindi sila patitinag sa pagpapanatili ng demokrasya kasabay ng pagpapaalala ng pagbabawal sa mga sundalo na makialam sa ano mang usaping pulitikal, salig sa umiiral na Konstitusyon.

Binigyang diin ng AFP, ano mang usapin ay dapat resolbahin sa demokratikong pamamaraan gayundin sa legal na proseso.
