Publiko, pinaalalahanan sa posibleng epekto ng pagsisimula ng dry season at pag-iral ng La Niña alert — PAGASA

Patuloy sa pagbibigay ng mahahalagang paalala ang DOST – Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) sa ating mga kababayan lalo na ngayong nagsimula na ang dry season ngunit patuloy pa rin na pag-iral ng La Niña.

Sa panayam ng Radyo Pilipinas kay Ana Liza Solis, Chief ng Climate Monitoring ng PAGASA ay binigyang diin nito ang kahalagahan ng pagsasagawa ng tamang hakbang upang maibsan ang mga sakit na kaakibat ng mararanasang mainit na temperature tulad ng heat cramps, dehydration, exhaustion at heat stroke na posibleng maging epekto ng lubhang maalinsangan na panahon.

Paalala naman ng ahensya na mahalagang sumunod sa ilang abiso ng mga kinauukulan tulad ng pag-iwas na muna sa outdoor activities, at pag-iingat sa mga kinakain dahil sa posibleng mabilis na kontaminasyon sa pagkain bunsod ng mainit na temperatura.

Kasabay nito, hinikayat naman ng DOST-PAGASA ang publiko na patuloy na i-monitor ang maximum daytime temperature at heat index advisory sa kanilang mga opisyal na social media pages at websites.

Dagdag pa nito, na mahalagang laging nakatuon sa lagay ng panahon at mahahalagang anunsiyo upang makapaghanda at maiwasan ang posibleng negatibong epekto sa kalusugan ng mga mamamayan. | ulat ni Rigie Malinao
