Rehabilitasyon ng EDSA, target masimulan ng DPWH ngayong Holy Week

Target ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na masimulan ang rehabilitasyon ng EDSA sa Holy Week sa buwan ng Abril.

Sa panayam sa Senado, sinabi ni DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan na balak nilang simulan ang konstruksyon sa Semana Santa para hindi gaanong ma-traffic.

Ibinahagi ng kalihim na binigyan sila ng instruction ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na unahin ang bahagi ng Pasay at Guadalupe bilang paghahanda na rin sa hosting ng Pilipinas ng ASEAN Summit sa susunod na taon (2026).

Bukod dito ay sisimulan na rin ang rehabilitasyon sa bahagi ng Balintawak at Monumento.

Ayon kay Bonoan, target nilang matapos ang rehabilitasyon ng southbound lane ng EDSA ngayong taon pero hindi na paaabutin ng Disyembre dahil matindi na ang daloy ng trapiko nang ganung panahon.

Posible namang umabot ng unang bahagi ng 2027 ang rehabilitasyon ng buong EDSA. | ulat ni Nimfa Mae Asuncion
