Nagkakaisa ang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan kabilang ang Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Justice, Department of the Interior and Local Government, at Philippine National Police, sa pagpapahayag na hindi na kinikilala ng Pilipinas ang hurisdiksyon ng International Criminal Court (ICC) sa ating bansa.

Sa pagdinig ng Senate Committee on Foreign Relations kaugnay ng pag-aresto ng ICC kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, nilinaw rin ni Justice Secretary Boying Remulla na hindi rin sila kailan man nakipag-usap sa ICC.

Pero nilinaw ni Remulla, na kahit hindi na member-country ng ICC ang Pilipinas kapag may isang indibidwal na nakasuhan ng international tribunal ay kailangan itong humarap sa ICC.

Alinsunod aniya ito sa International Humanitarian Law na kinikilala ng 150 mga bansa sa buong mundo, kabilang na ang Pilipinas. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
