Muling iginiit ng Japan ang kanilang suporta sa Build Better More program ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Sa ginanap na PH-Japan High-Level Joint Committee Meeting on Infrastructure Development and Economic Cooperation, ito ay  kinumpirma ng pamahalaan ng Japan.

Pinag-usapan ng Japan at Pilipinas ang kasalukuyang kalagayan, mga hamon sa implementasyon, at mga hakbang upang mapabilis ang pagpapatupad ng malalaking proyektong pinopondohan ng Japan.

Kabilang sa mga proyektong ito ang Metro Manila Subway Project (Phase I), North-South Commuter Railway Projects, Metro Rail Transit Line 3 Rehabilitation Project, Dalton Pass East Alignment Road Project, at Metro Manila Priority Bridges Seismic Improvement Project.

Patuloy din ang pag-uusap ng Japan at Pilipinas para suportahan ang Central Mindanao High Standard Highway, ikalawang San Juanico Bridge Construction Project, Flood Control and Drainage Project sa Davao City, Parañaque Spillway Project, National Public Broadcasting Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Network Development Project, at ang Magat Dam Reconstruction Project, at marami pang iba.

Tinalakay din sa pulong ang pag-unlad sa Mindanao peace process, pati na rin ang mga inisyatiba sa sektor ng disaster risk reduction, maritime safety, regional development, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), at energy transition.

Ipinakita naman ng pamahalaan ang mga plano para sa hinaharap na imprastraktura, lalo na ang pagsasama ng Public-Private Partnership (PPP) at paggamit ng Official Development Assistance (ODA) bilang bahagi ng hakbang tungo sa pagiging upper middle-income na bansa. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz-Reyes
