50% ng rice retailers, nakakasunod sa MSRP ng imported na bigas — DA

Ilang araw matapos na ipatupad ang ₱45 na Maximum Suggested Retail Price sa imported rice ay iniulat ng Department of Agriculture (DA) na umabot na sa 50% ng mga pamilihan ang nakakasunod sa itinakdang MSRP.

Ayon kay DA Spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa, sa pag-iikot ng DA gaya ng sa Mega Q-Mart, kapansin-pansin na marami na ring retailer ang nagbebenta ng ₱45 na kada kilo ng imported rice, mayroon pa nga aniyang mas mababa pa.

Nauunawaan naman aniya ng DA na may ibang rice retailer ang hindi pa makasunod sa MSRP dahil nagpapaubos pa ng hawak na stock ng bigas.

Kaugnay nito, muling ipinunto ng DA na ipinako na muna sa ₱45 ang MSRP para hindi maapektuhan ang farmgate price ng palay ngayong harvest season. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
