“General Marbil should be praised for taking prompt action on the extortion case allegedly involving at least eight members of the Eastern Police District and in sanctioning the star-ranked district commander for what he described as ‘failure of leadership’,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

“The key here is leadership by example. There is no substitute for it. If a leader is transparent, honest, effective, efficient, and compassionate, his commanders and personnel down the line will follow and practice those values,” diin ni Speaker Romualdez.

“Let this be the turning point. We want a professional, reliable, and honest police force. If you cannot lead with integrity, then you do not belong in public service,” ani Fernandez.

“The war on drugs and the fight against syndicates begin with a clean police force. We fully support Gen. Marbil’s resolve. No fear. No favor. Gen. Marbil is showing the country that such a vision is not only possible. It is already beginning,” saad ni Barbers. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
