LTO, paiigtingin ang random at surprise inspection sa mga sasakyan ngayong Kuwaresma

Inatasan na ni Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II ang lahat ng regional directors at hepe ng law enforcement units sa buong bansa, na paigtingin pa ang random at surprise inspections sa lagay ng mga pampublikong sasakyan.

Alinsunod ito sa direktiba ni Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon sa LTO, matapos ang aksidente sa Commonwealth Ave. nitong linggo na ikinasawi ng dalawang katao.

Ayon kay Asec. Mendoza, tututukan ang pagsusuri sa road worthiness ng lahat ng uri ng sasakyan partikular sa PUVs bilang hakbang na pangontra sa aksidente.

Nauna na ring inilunsad ng LTO ang kanilang mga plano para sa Holy Week road safety, kabilang ang surprise inspection sa mga bus terminal at random drug testing sa mga driver at konduktor.

Ayon pa kay Mendoza, magkakaroon ng mga intervention at preventive measures para mapasunod sa alituntunin ang mga pasaway na motorista at nang hindi sila maging sanhi ng aksidente sa kalsada. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
