Umaasa si Special Assistant to the President for Investments and Economic Affairs Frederick Go, na tuluyan nang magiging batas ang panukalang Capital Markets Efficiency Promotion Act.

Ayon kay Go, ang bill ay ipinadala na sa Malacañang at inaasahang pipirmahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa lalong madaling panahon.

Ang Capital Markets Efficiency Promotion Act ay naglalayong bawasan ang capital gains tax para sa stock transactions mula 0.6 percent patungong 0.1 percent.

Ayon sa kalihim, mahalaga ang panukalang batas na ito sa pagpapalakas ng stock market ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng pagbawas ng friction costs at pagpapalakas ng liquidity.
