Sen. Poe: Review sa PUV Modernization Program, pagkakataon para gawing tama ang programa

Binigyang diin ni Senator Grace Poe na ang ipinag-utos ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon na review ng PUV Modernization Program ay pagkakataon para maging patas, makatao at tama ang programa.

Nagtitiwala si Poe na kukonsultahin ng DOTr review body ang mga commuter group, pribadong sektor, mga lokal na pamahalaan, academe at iba pang concerned stakeholders.

Ito ay para aniya makabuo ng komprehensibong larawan ng sitwasyon ng modernisasyon, at makabuo ng nararapat na solusyon.

Idinagdag pa ng senador, na ang gagawing review ay hindi lang dapat tingnan kung paanong maipapatupad ng maayos ang programa kung hindi dapat ring suriin nito ang sitwasyon ng mga jeepney driver at operator na nalulugi, dahil sa taas ng presyo ng mga modern jeepney units.
