Mahalaga ang pamumuhunan at pagsasaprayoridad sa Early Childhood Care and Development ng mga Pilipinong mag-aaral

Ito ang binigyang diin ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara kasunod ng pagdalo nito sa World Bank Philippines Economic Update Development Dialogue.

Ayon kay Angara, layon nito na matiyak na maaabot ng bawat kabataang Pilipino ang kanilang mga pangarap, matuto at lumago gayundin ay makapag-ambag sa kaunlaran ng bansa.

Batay aniya sa ulat ng United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) nitong Enero 2024, sinabi ni Angara na maraming kabataang Pilipino ang hindi naka-enroll sa early learning programs.

Nakararami aniya sa mga ito ay pawang nagmula sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
 
Para matugunan ang problema, inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Health (DOH), at Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na makipag-ugnayan sa mga lokal na pamahalaan upang mabigyang access dito ang mga kabataan. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
