Suportado ni House Appropriations Committee Chairman Elizaldy Co ang desisyon ng Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. na ipagpaliban muna ang paglagda sa 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA) upang mas masuri pa ang mga probisyon nito.
Ayon kay Co, naiinditindihan at kinikilala nila commitment ng Pangulo na tiyaking naka-align ang pambansang pondo sa prayoridad ng pamahalaan.
Pagpapakita rin aniya ito ng dedikasyon ng Presidente sa transparency at accountability.
“We fully understand and commend President Marcos for his commitment to ensure that the national budget aligns with the country’s priorities. This approach exemplifies the strength of our democratic processes and the effective system of checks and balances in our government,” aniya.
Pagtiyak ni Co na nakahanda ang Kongreso na makipagtulungan sa review process ng Malacañang upang masiguro interes ng mga Pilipino ang mangingibabaw.
