Tinukoy na ng Calapan City Police ang suspek sa pananaksak at pagpatay kay SEA Games gold medalist Mervin Guarte.

Ayon kay Calapan City Police Chief LtCol. Roden Fulache, kinilala ang 31-taong gulang na tricycle driver bilang suspek na residente rin ng Calapan City.

Lumabas sa imbestigasyon na may matagal na kinikimkim na galit ang posibleng motibo sa krimen.

Sa kasalukuyan, kinukuhanan pa ng sworn statements at affidavit ang mga testigo, kaya inaasahang sa susunod na linggo maisasampa ang kasong murder laban sa suspek.
