Muling binigyang diin ni House Labor and Employment Committee Chair Fidel Nograles ang pangangailangan na mabigyan ng pamahalaan ng training opportunities ang mga manggagawa.

Ito aniya ay para makasabay sila sa nagbabagong employment landscape.

Mahalaga aniya na may access ang mga manggagawa para sa upskilling at reskilling, para mas tumaas ang tiyansa nila na makuha sa trabaho.

Tinukoy ni Nograles ang resulta ng Future of Jobs Report 2025 ng World Economic Forum, kung saan 68 percent ng Filipino workers ang nangangailangan ng training para makatalima sa nagbabagong skill demands.

Habang nasa 38% lamang ang nakakumpleto ng training na mas mababa sa 50% global average.

Babala niya na kung hindi madagdagan ang kasanayan ng mga manggagawa ay maaaring mauwi ito sa job displacement at redundancy, lalo na aniya at nasa panahon na ng pag usbong ng artificial intelligence.

“May panganib din na matigil ang pag-arangkada ng iba’t ibang industriya kung hindi mapupunan ang staffing requirement ng mga ito. This isn’t even future-proofing, as we are now amid the shift towards more AI, and climate change is posing challenges to many sectors, particularly agriculture.
