Pinalawig na maternity care package para sa mga indigent na buntis, ipinapanukala sa Kamara

Isinusulong ngayon sa Kamara na atasan ang Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) na sagutin ang lahat ng gastos ng mga mahihirap o kapos sa buhay na mga buntis, at makamit ang “No Balance Billing Policy” ng administrasyong Marcos Jr.

Ito ang nakapaloob sa House Bill 11414 o Expanded Maternity Care Package for Indigents and Financially Incapacitated Act, na inihain ni Representative Jose Teves Jr.

Ibig sabihin, PhilHealth na ang sasagot sa gastos ng pasyente pagdating sa prenatal care, normal delivery man o cesarean section, at newborn care.

Sa kasalukuyan, ₱6,500 hanggang ₱20,000 lang ang sinasagot ng PhilHealth para sa mga miyembrong manganganak, at depende pa ito sa uri ng delivery.

Diin ng mambabatas, hindi na sapat ang halaga na ito para sa gastusin sa prenatal at postnatal health care services.
