DOTr, nilinaw na walang mawawalan ng trabaho sa privatization ng NAIA

Tiniyak ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na walang mawawalan ng trabaho sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) sakaling maisakatuparan ang pagsasapribado nito.

Ayon kay Transportation Undersecretary for Aviation and Airports Roberto Lim, aalukin ng oportunidad na magtrabaho ang mga empleyado ng paliparan kapag privatized na ang mga pasilidad.

Nilinaw din ni Lim na ang relasyon sa pagitan ng MIAA at concessionaire ay magiging regulator-operator.

Ibig sabihin, mananatili ang overseeing function ng MIAA at lahat ng airport assets ay pagmamay-ari ng gobyerno, habang limitado sa operasyon at management ang private concessionaire.

Naisumite na ng DOTr at MIAA ang joint proposal sa National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board para sa NAIA solicited public private partnership project, na magbibigay sa concessionaire ng 15 taon upang i-operate at iahon ang investment ng paliparan. | ulat ni Hajji Kaamiño
