Temporary license para sa mga nurse, suportado ng isang party-list solon

Suportado ni KABAYAN Partylist Rep. Ron Salo ang panukala ni Health Secretary Ted Herbosa na bigyan ng pansamantalang lisensya ang mga kumuha ng nursing board na nakakuha ng mga score sa pagitan ng 70-74%.

Ani Salo, malaki ang pangangailangan ngayon para sa karagdagang mga nursing personnel sa mga ospital ng gobyerno.

Aniya, ang pansamantalang panukalang ito ay makakatulong sa pagtugon sa kasalukuyang kakulangan habang ang gobyerno ay bumubuo ng isang komprehensibong pangmatagalang solusyon.

“Although I understand the public’s reservations regarding this solution, I am confident of the DOH’s ability to exercise proper oversight and to develop the necessary guidelines for temporary nurses to carry out their duties effectively. Besides, nursing students are allowed to assist in providing medical services to patients. How much more can we not allow them to serve the medical needs of our people when they’re already graduates, although they missed the mark? Because indeed, we need to expand the healthcare workforce to serve and meet the medical needs of a larger population,” ani Salo

Ngunit pagbibigay diin ni Salo, mahalagang makapaglatag ng mga kondisyon bago magbigay ng mga pansamantalang lisensya sa mga non-board passers.

Kabilang dito ang pagtiyak na sila ang kukuha at papasa ng board exam sa itatakdang panahon o timeline.

Mas maigi rin aniya na unahing kunin ang mga pumasa na sa licensure board exams bago ang non-passers.
