Suportado ng isang party-list solon ang pagtatayo ng OFW Hospital sa Visayas at Mindanao.
Ayon ay OFW party-list Rep. Marissa “Del Mar” Magsino, mahalaga na mabigyang access din sa libreng medical services ang mga OFW na nasa Visayas at Mindanao Region.
Sa kasalukuyan kasi, limitado lamang ang naseserbisyuhan ng OFW Hospital sa Pampanga sa kalapit probinsya nito gaya ng Tarlac, Pangasinan at Nueva Ecija.
“I strongly support the calls to establish OFW Hospitals in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Currently, the OFW Hospital is located in Pampanga, thus limiting its access to OFWs and qualified dependents in nearby areas. Information dissemination on the services offered by the OFW Hospital is equally vital,” saad ng mambabatas.
Dapat din aniyang paigtingin ang information dissemination at maipaalam sa mga OFW na mayroong ospital na nakalaan sa kanila at kanilang pamilya.
“Despite significant efforts to publicize its existence, many OFWs and their families remain unaware of the specialized healthcare services available to them in said hospital. To address this, we must intensify our promotional campaigns through various channels, including social media, community outreach programs, and collaborations with Migrant Workers Offices,” dagdag pa ng kinatawan. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
