Hinikayat ng isang mambabatas na pagtulungan ng Department of Finance (DOF) at Presidential Communications Office (PCO) ang pagkakasa ng information and edcuation campaign patungkol sa Maharlika Investmant Fund (MIF).
Ayon kay Camarines Sur Rep. LRay Villafuerte, dapat magsanib pwersa ang iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan gamit ang traditional at social media, para maipaliwanag sa publiko kung ano ang MIF at ang magandang maidudulot nito sa ating ekonomiya.
Dagdag pa ng kinatawan kung ang ating economic managers ay magiikot sa ibang bansa para makapanghikayat ng mga mamumuhunan sa MIF ay dapat itong sabayan ng pagbabahagi rin sa mga Pilipino ng kanilang magiging pakinabang sa MIF tulad ng dagdag trabaho, imprastrtuka at socioeconomic programs nang hindi na aasa sa utang o bagong tax.
“An IEC drive is necessary because public opinion polls show that although a majority of survey respondents who are familiar with the MIF are supportive of this Palace-endorsed Fund, many Filipinos are actually clueless about it. This means that in order for the MIF to get great traction across the country, a nationwide effort has to be mounted right away to make most Filipinos aware of this investment fund—and how it will actually spell better lives for our people even before the end of the Marcos presidency.” ani Villafuerte.
