Pinuri ni Ways and Means Committee Chair Joey Salceda ang naging pagtugon ng Marcos Jr. administration sa nangyaring Mindoro oil spill.
Kasunod ito ng anunsyo ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources na ang katubigan sa palibot ng isla ay na sa Class SC standard na at wala nang Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons.
Dahil dito, ay tuluyan nang binuksan ng Mindoro ang kanilang katubigan para sa pangingisda.
Ayon kay Salceda, naisakatuparan ito dahil sa maayos na koordinasyon ng government agencies na hindi hinaluan ng ‘drama’
Pagpapakita din aniya nito ng pagpapahalaga ng pamahalaan sa sektor ng turismo at ecology.
“The quick and drama-free response, which coordinated government efforts and kept people’s livelihoods afloat in the meantime shows this government’s commitment to ecology and to tourism, considering that the area is a tourism star and a biodiversity hotspot.” ani Salceda.

I congratulate the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), as well as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Southern Tagalog District, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Southern Luzon Command, and the Mimaropa local government units for the great work done. I also congratulate the Department of Tourism for the work to protect our best beaches from oil spill.” dagdag ng kinatawan.
Paalala naman ni Salceda na marami pang kailangan gawin lalo na sa sektor ng turismo.
Kailangan aniya ang rehabilitasyon at proteksyon sa mga beach upang hindi ito mauwi sa sinapit ng Boracay na kinailangan pang isara sa publiko para malinis.
