Nais makakuha ng House Committee on Public Accounts ng kopya ng Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALNs) ni Mexico, Pampanga Mayor Teddy Tumang.
Kaugnay pa rin ito ng pagdinig ng komite sa umano’y kuwestiyonableng transaksyon ng alkalde na nagkakahalaga ng ₱149-million.
Ayon kay Abang Lingkod Party-list Representative Joseph Stephen Paduano, chair ng komite, susulat siya sa Office of the Ombudsman upang humingi ng certified copies ng SALN ni Tumang at matukoy kung may kakayanan nga siyang mag-reimburse ng pondo.
Ito’y matapos mapuna ng ilang mambabatas ang ginawang pagre-reimburse ng alkalde sa munisipyo ng ₱43 million mula sa ₱89-milyong transaksyon na na-disallowed ng Commission on Audit (COA) noong 2018.
Ipatatawag din sa pagdinig ang mga nakatransaksyon ni Tumang na sina Rizalito Dizon, Dr. Roberto Tugade, at Eduardo Santiago gayundin ang accountant ng Mexico, Pampanga na si Perlita Lagman.
Tinukoy ng komite nitong Miyerkules ang motu proprio inquiry kaugnay sa umano’y iregularidad sa procurement process na pinasok ng Mexico, Pampanga na posibleng paglabag umano sa auditing, procurement, at ibang alituntunin.
“One of the findings of the audit investigation, item number six, 164 disbursement vouchers totaling ₱26,719,162.53 were processed and paid without the necessary approval by the municipal accountant in
violation of Section 4 of PD (Presidential Decree) 1445 and Section 344 of the local government code. In spite of the fact of the non-signature of the municipal accountant, the municipality of Mexico proceeded with the issuance of check. This is a clear violation [of whatever] accounting rules and regulations…of the COA,” punto ni Surigao del Norte Representative Johnny Pimentel.
Naniniwala naman si Tumang, na present sa pagdinig, na politika ang ugat ng reklamo laban sa kaniya.
