Inengganyo ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. ang mga batang atleta na lumahok sa Uniformed Services Little Olympics 2023 na magsikap na maging pambansang atleta sa hinaharap.
Ito ang mensahe ng AFP Chief na binasa ni AFP Deputy Chief of Staff (TDCSAFP) Lt. General Charlton Sean Gaerlan sa closing ceremonies ng naturang palaro sa Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, Cebu City kahapon.
Sa closing ceremony ay pinarangalan ang mga nagwaging dependent ng mga miyembro ng Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), at Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
Ang mga batang atleta ay nakipag-kumpitensya sa iba’t ibang laro kabilang ang 4 x 100m Relay, 3K and 5K Run, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Karate-do, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball, at Modern Dance Competition.
Sinabi ni AFP Chief na ang Little Olympics ay isang magandang paraan para maisulong ang kanyang bisyon ng “youth development”, at testamento ng pagkakaisa ng lahat ng miyembro ng unipormadong serbisyo. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
