Hindi pa rin maaaksyunan ng Kamara ang pag-alis sa ilan sa House members hangga’t wala ang pinal na desisyon ng Korte.
Ito ang tugon ni House Sec. General Reginald Velasco nang matanong kung ano ang mangyayari sa An Waray matapos kanselahin ng COMELEC ang registration nito gayundin sa kaso ng pagpapawalang bisa sa proklamasyon ni Romeo Jalosjos Jr. bilang kinatawan ng Zamboanga City 1st district.
Ayon kay Velasco, hinihintay pa nila ang pormal na komunikasyon at dokumento mula sa COMELEC sa kaso ng An Waray.
“We are still waiting for formal communication [from Comelec on An Waray], because there is a process here. There’s still motion for reconsideration. So until the final judgment and we receive it official, then that is the time we will act,” sabi ni Velasco.
Pagdating naman sa kaso ni Jalosjos, sa kabila ng desisyon ng Korte Suprema, ay kailangan din na susugan ito ng COMELEC.
“Even if the decision came from the SC, the advice [of enforcement] would have to come from COMELEC. Whatever the decision of the SC, it has to be affirmed by the COMELEC and officially communicated to us,” dagdag ng kinatawan. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
