DENR, suportado ang pagkakaroon ng isang ahensya para sa pamahahala ng tubig

Susuportahan ng DENR ang hakbang para sa pagkakaroon ng apex body na siyang mamamahala sa water resources ng bansa.

Sa interpelasyon ni Ways and Means Committee Chair Joey Salceda sa budget briefing ng ahensya, natanong nito si DENR Sec. Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga kung pabor ba siya sa pagkakaroon ng isang Department of Water Resources.

Tugon ng kalihim, naniniwala siya na kailangan ng isang ahensya na siyang tututok para pangasiwaan ang tubig sa bansa.

Sa pag-usisa pa ni Salceda, sapat na ba ang binuong Water Resource Management Office o kailangan pa rin ng isang hiwalay na kagawaran.
