Kaisa si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ng buong bansa sa pagdadalamhati sa pagkamatay ni Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople, ngayong araw (August 22).
Sa isang ambush interview, sinabi ng Pangulo na nakalulungkot ang balitang ito lalo’t nawalan rin siya ng kaibigan, sa katauhan ng kalihim.
“It’s very, very sad news. I have lost a friend; the Philippines has lost a friend. Secretary Toots was a special person. With the deep compassion really for the people she had to care for, namely the migrant workers, and she was very very—she’s a big loss.” — Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Ayon sa Pangulo, si Secretary Ople ay isang espesyal na indibidwal na may malalim na compassion sa mga indibidwal na kaniyang pinagsisilbihan, partikular ang mga Filipino migrant worker.
Kinilala rin ng Pangulo ang mga nagawa ng kalihim.
