Pagpaparating ng totoo at tamang narrative sa international community kaugnay sa mga aktibidad ng China sa WPS, tinututukan ng pamahalaan

Naniniwala ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na posibleng tumagal pa ang mga agresibo at iligal na aktibidad ng China sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) kung walang magbabago sa sitwasyon sa rehiyon.

Pahayag ito ni AFP Spokesperson Colonel Medel Aguilar, kasunod ng pinakahuling tangkang pangha-harang ng China sa resupply mission ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), sa BRP Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal.

“Kung hindi magbabago ang sitwasyon, probably magtatagal ang ganitong sitwasyon. But we’ll see how it will develop later on because right now, what we are seeing is the mounting pressure against China because of their illegal and offensive actions in West Philippine Sea that is harming other people.” —Col. Aguilar.

Gayunpaman, sa kasalukuyan, lumalaki aniya ang pressure sa China dahil sa mga iligal na aksyon nito sa WPS, na nakakaapekto sa ibang tao.

“We are also making sure that the narrative, the correct narrative, is being heard by the international community especially when it comes to our claimed sovereign rights and jurisdiction over the West Philippine Sea based on UNCLOS and other international law.” —Col. Aguilar.

Ang mahalaga aniya sa usaping ito, masiguro na ang tamang narrative o iyong totoong pangyayari sa bawat insidente ang marinig ng international community.
