Sinasalamin lamang ng inilunsad na Rice Paddy Art sa Batac, Ilocos Norte, ang layo na nang narating ng Pilipinas pagdating sa paglinang ng palay, at iba pang agri products.
Pahayag ito ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. makaraang pasinayaan ang 2023 MMSU – PhilRice Paddy Art, kahapon (September 11), kung saan tampok ang mga katagang Bagong Pilipinas at ang imahe ng pangulo.
Sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos, nakakatuwa na makita ang larawan sa rice field, gayunpaman, higit aniyang nakakalugod ang tagumpay na naaabot ng MMSU at PhilRice, sa mga pag-aaral nito at pagpapaigting ng rice production system.
“It is particularly important, of course it’s very entertaining to see your picture, ah, drawn out on a rice field. But, what it demonstrates — and it is a very kind gesture — but what it demonstrates is how much it is we already know about the cultivation of rice and other agri products.” — Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Dahil aniya sa matagumpay na balikatang ito, nagagawa nang gawing canvasses ang rice field sa kasalukuyan.
